Dog Stops in the Middle of Training to Rescue Raccoons from Dumpster
Doris de Luna
As described on the American Kennel Club's website, "an understated air of cool competence, the kind of demeanor you'd expect from a professional bodyguard, is the breed's trademark."

The earliest ancestors of this dog breed were the mollosers of the Greek tribe of Molossi. They were working dogs that were brought to Italy by Roman conquerors and bred with their native species to serve as military service dogs.
But today, Cane Corsos are widely known for their affectionate nature, despite their intimidating size and appearance. They are very protective of their owners, a quality that remains ingrained in their breed.

They are highly energetic dogs who love exercise, training, and work. But in this viral post of Willie, a Cane Corso with a soft heart for animals in need, he had to stop his momma from their training session for a rescue mission.
Raccoons! Two of them got trapped in a dumpster!
Upon seeing the poor animals, Willie's mom quickly got a fallen tree from the woods nearby and placed it inside the dumpster. It enabled the raccoons to climb out and scurry away to safety.

As for Willie, it was another day of great joy and pride! He and his momma have saved wildlife in need. These small mammals may be listed as the Least Concern by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, but every life is precious. Just ask Willie!
Now it's back to training! They put a lid on the dumpster to make sure that no raccoons or other animals fall into it. Yep, people and dogs like Willie and his momma are the kinds of beings who make our world beautiful.
