The poor pup was taken in for care, but she was struggling both physically and emotionally.

"I've never seen a more depressed dog," her rescuer shared with The Dodo.
After receiving some love and attention, the puppy, who they named Luna, started to come out of her shell a little bit and her foster mom, Dina, realized the little pup needed some socialization.

Dina took Luna to her friend's house to meet Zeus the Great Dane, a gentle giant who could maybe help Luna learn to get along with other dogs.
"It was love at first sight," Dina said to The Dodo. Even though Zeus is massive and Luna is tiny, the two instantly hit things of and fell in love.
Thanks to their friendship, Luna really blossomed and learned to play and fall in love with life!

It wasn't long after that the applications started to pour in and Luna was placed in a loving forever home.
