You Can Name A Cockroach After Your Ex For Valentine's Day
Malorie Thompson
Those who may have been burned recently, though, may be wanting to celebrate in a different kind of way. Anti-Valentine's Day celebrations and traditions have been more popular recently and with good reason. It seems that the San Antonio Zoo has gotten the memo and they have a unique way to do just that.
If you're having romance trouble this year, you may be interested to know that the San Antonio Zoo will let you symbolically name a cockroach, rodent, or veggie after your not-so-special someone as part of its annual Cry Me A Cockroach Fundraiser.
According to the zoo's website, the funds raised from the event "support the zoo's vision of securing a future for wildlife in Texas and around the world."

For $5, you can name a veggie. For $10, you can name a cockroach. And, for $25, you can name a rodent.
For an extra $150, you can kick things up a notch by getting a custom video with a message of the cockroach, rodent, or veggie named after your not-so-special someone being fed to another animal.

Each donor will receive a digital Valentine's Day Card showing your support for the Cry Me a Cockroach Fundraiser.
For those who are looking for other ways to participate without naming something after an ex, there's also Cry Me a Cockroach merchandise available.
