By now, it's no secret that the April 2010 BP oil spill has caused billions of dollars in damage and continues to wreak havoc on the Gulf Coast as well as the people who live there. Categorized as the worst environmental disaster in history, the non-stop three-month flow of oil is estimated to have killed thousands of wildlife and many types of plant life. The fishing industry suffered billions of dollars in losses and tourism — a lucrative industry in the Gulf — halted almost completely.
BP has made strong efforts to clean up their mess and to remedy the situation. But the tragedy and damage remain. **Sign the petition telling Congress to donate BP's paid fines under the Clean Water Act to the cause of rebuilding the Gulf.**
