Growing up in Cameroon can be difficult for many children because of the inherent adversity facing them today. Children in Cameroon lack the protection children in other countries such as the United States enjoy, and therefore often must endure labor exploitation, sex-trafficking, and violence. In some cases, children are forced into domestic servitude. In others, young girls' breasts are ironed to prevent them from developing and drawing sexual attention.

There is simply no reason for children anywhere to have to endure atrocities such as these. Kids should have the freedom to run and play with their friends without the worry of being sexually exploited or forced into labor. These children need their government to advocate on their behalf if they are to lead normal, healthy lives. **Sign the petition asking H.E. Dr. Jean Ping, Chairperson of the African Union, to see to it that Cameroon legislates protection for its children as soon as possible.**
