We recently learned that the Idaho Department of Fish and Game has illegally collared four wolves in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness Area. The tracking collars could easily be used by the state to follow the wolves back to their packs.

Members of Idaho Fish and Game were supposed to be placing radio collars on elk in the wilderness after gaining permission from the Forest Service. The authorization from the Forest Service did not include collaring any wolves, and the collaring of these wolves is a direct violation of the agency's conditions.

That means not just four wolves, **but entire packs may be in mortal danger.**

**Tell the U.S. Forest Service to demand that the collars be taken off the wolves or deactivated immediately.**
