Park rangers recently tortured a goat that simply wandered into human territory. Take action against this inhumanity!

Human Safety Doesn't Have to Cost an Animal's Life!

Recently, park rangers at an American national park were faced with the task of dealing with a goat that was wandering close to park visitors and camps. They responded to the problem by throwing hard objects at the poor animal and shooting it with bean bags. Contrary to the intended outcome, the goat eventually killed one visitor to the park in an act of defense. The goat most likely thought the human was a threat to him, since humans had been so cruel to him before.

The action the park rangers took is no way to handle this kind of situation. National park officials need to handle the animals that inhabit the parks with care and compassion, not torture them into submission. As we can see, the response provoked the exact opposite intended outcome.

**Sign the petition asking Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar to scold the park rangers and, if needed, provide them with information on how to properly and humanely handle wild animals.**
