About 400,000 babies are born with HIV each year. If a mother is infected with HIV, there is a 10 to 20 percent chance she will pass it along to her newborn. Now, imagine a world in which no child was born with HIV ever again. It's entirely possible, but we need strong commitments on the part of world leaders to eradicate the transmission of this deadly disease to babies.
