In light of the recent oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico, it's time for the Obama Administration to issue much tighter rules when it comes to oil rigs and how they are operated. In addition to the devastating BP oil disaster, another more recent spill has begun leaking oil into the Gulf. BP continues to place blame on other agencies and actors, but the reality is that strict standards were not implemented at the time and the ones that were were not properly followed.

**Sign the petition asking Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to implement much stricter regulations for oil rig operations and offshore drilling. We cannot afford another oil disaster in the Gulf, or for that matter anywhere else in the world.**
