Nestled at the southern end of California's stunning Sierra Nevada mountain range, the Sequoia Monument is home to the tallest trees on Earth — some close to 300 feet. The Sequoia National Monument is naturally home to many animal species as well.

Despite all of its commanding beauty, the Sequoia Monument is in grave danger. The US Forest Service has revealed plans to log the forest, creating space for commercial and residential development.
