It's been one year since the disastrous earthquake hit Haiti, but that doesn't mean we can forget about the damage.
Almost one year ago, Haiti was struck by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that devastated the Caribbean nation. Hundreds of thousands of people died that day, even more were injured, and over one million people lost their homes. Though the devastation was incalculable, it's easy for those of us removed from the situation to let the memory of Haiti's plight seep from our minds.
SOS Children's Villages has been on the ground in Haiti since day one, providing medical supplies, drinking water, and basic food supplies. SOS Schools have remained open and have doubled in size to accommodate more children. SOS has given a long-term home to over 500 children in Haiti who have no family to care for them and is helping Haiti to rebuild its schools.
**Sign the pledge declaring your continued support for Haiti as well as for the efforts of SOS Children's Villages to repair this disaster-ravaged country.**
