Colorado legislators recently passed a bill (H.B. 1252) that will guarantee insurance coverage for mammograms for women the age of 40 and over.

After being signed into law by Gov. Bill Ritter, this legislation would ensure that Colorado women can have annual mammogram screenings starting at age 40 without worrying about whether or not their insurance companies will pay for this procedure.
