Collection: Thank You for The Impact You’ve Made in 2023

Dear Friends of GreaterGood,

Over the past two decades, our community of clickers and shoppers has made a big difference in the world. This year, we surpassed an incredible milestone more than $80 million given to charity since 1999!

Our goal is to raise $4 million in charitable contributions in 2023, and I am pleased to report that we are extremely close. If you are able, please consider an end-of-year contribution to help us reach our goal for 2023!

Over 15M Bowls of Food Donated to Pets in Need

3,100 Good Packs Donated to Vets and Their Pets

Over 600 Bee Hives Have Been Saved

Over 4M Bowls of Food Donated to Pets in Ukraine

40,000 Adult & 12,000 Infant Blankets Donated

Over 46,000 Winter Relief Kits Donated

The mission of GreaterGood and The Animal Rescue Site is to provide our community with simple and actionable ways to heal the world and support People, Pets & Planet. Donations can be generated in a variety of ways, from clicking to give to playing games and trivia, reading stories and news, shopping in our stores, or giving a direct donation to one of our many charitable programs. Collectively our “Small Actions have Big Impacts”™, totaling nearly $4 million in charitable contributions this year!

I am so grateful and humbled by those who have supported us this year.

The money raised for charity is only a small part of our impact. We specialize in finding and creating products that make a difference. This empowers both our customers and the rural artisans who make many of our products, including our best-selling Alpaca Fingerless Mittens, and our Bond Between Sisters jewelry.

We focus on products from areas in conflict, where our purchases can provide much-needed income and help communities rebuild. An example of this is our Ukrainian blankets and scarves which are made in Kharkiv. For each Ukrainian blanket or scarf sold, we distribute a blanket in Eastern Ukraine as part of our Buy 1, Give 1 Campaign. I have been to Ukraine five times since the war started, and I have seen the incredible impact of these donations first-hand.

Our audience has time and time again stepped up to help people and pets around the world. In the spring of this year, when earthquakes and flooding in Türkiye and Syria destroyed the homes and lives of millions, your responses funded $89,000 of meals and aid for people and pets left without the functioning infrastructure needed to survive. When wildfires destroyed parts of Maui, our audience responded, raising over $358,000 for emergency aid and recovery.

This year we raised over $300,000 for our Flights to Freedom program, which flew over 900 pets more than 13,000 miles across 12 flights. This program takes pets from overcrowded shelters and brings them closer to adoption, saving them from euthanasia. These flights give shelter pets the best chance to find their forever home and live happy lives.

Our Emergency Animal Care Fund provides funding for life-saving care for pets around the world. More than 270 dogs and cats were nursed back to health this year via this fundraising, plus we are still raising funds for a terrible, large-scale case of animal neglect and mistreatment in which 600 abandoned, malnourished dogs are being rescued and rehabilitated from a garbage dump in Greece.

I am extremely grateful to our audience of millions of compassionate people around the world who’ve made all of this (and much, much more) possible. We hope to surpass $100 million in charitable donations by 2030.

I believe we have the best supporters and customers in the world. Thank you for all of your help in 2023.

Happy New Year,

Tim Kunin
