Build a Clean Water Well at a Primary School in Laos!

Help provide clean water for the children of Laos.
In the country of Laos, pneumonia and diarrhea are the #1 & #2 killers of children under the age of five years old. These illnesses, which are highly preventable, decrease significantly when children have access to clean drinking water and soap for washing their hands at school.
Your contribution directly benefits children from Laos with 100% of funds going towards the drilling of water wells at primary schools on the Bolaven Plateau and the supplying of soap and hand washing education at their water wells.
You can help. Just $40 provides 6 months of clean water for 160 children!
Update from the Field
September 2017Our long term goal is for every primary school on the Bolaven Plateau to have a clean water well installed and operating. Currently we have installed 19 water wells and have just 4 more to go before all villages have access to clean and safe drinking water. Clean water wells function to benefit villages in three main ways. The first is that children can wash their hands with soap and water after urination and defecation. The second is that the well water is filtered through 'Terra Clear,' (clay colloidal-silver clean water filters) for children to drink. The third is that it provides a free and accessible source of water for villagers who do not have clean water at home.
Jhai Coffee House is the world's first completely philanthropic coffee roaster & cafe, located at the source. They believe access to clean water is a fundamental human right—their mission is to bring 63 schools on the Bolaven Plateau hygiene education and clean water.
