Send a child with diabetes to a camp designed specifically for their special needs.

Children with diabetes often feel like no one understands what it's like to live with their condition every day.

Camps for children with diabetes provide an excellent opportunity for a child to meet and share experiences with other children who have the disease. For this reason, Mott Children's Hospital proudly partners with Camp Midicha - the largest pediatric diabetes camp in the country. This is where children with diabetes find those who share in their unique daily challenges.

Offering swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, and other camp activities, Camp Midicha stands out as a special place where all of the campers, ages 8 to 16, have diabetes. This specialty camp is staffed with pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, and dietitians. In addition to providing a wide range of traditional camp activities, Camp Midicha offers fun, interactive medical sessions every day to teach campers about all aspects of successful diabetes management.

Each child’s experience at Diabetes Camp affords them the opportunity to learn about the successes of kids and counselors who struggle with diabetes. Camp Midicha (ADA) inspires kids to accomplish their goals in school, sports and work. Campers also leave having made lifelong friendships.
