Fly Dogs Rescued from the Dog Meat Trade to the United States

We are in need of your help to fly dogs to the United States after being rescued from the Dog Meat Trade.Your gift will help fly 12 surviving dogs per month from the meat trade to the United States to be adopted into loving homes.

According to Humane Society International (HSI), approximately 30 million dogs are killed across Asia each year as part of the dog meat trade. This trade is known for its cruelty, is largely unregulated, and often illegal. HSI as well as several other animal welfare organizations report that dogs caught up in this industry are often stolen or snatched from the streets, transported in conditions so bad that many die from suffocation, dehydration or injury en route, and ultimately slaughtered by torture.

However, there are organizations such as The Barking Lot and their partners Soi Dog Foundation (SDF) working to end this incredibly inhumane industry, to expose those who engage in it illegally, and to rescue as many dogs from the meat trade as possible. In order to accomplish that last goal, SDF needs help housing and re-homing the dogs they save. The number of dogs rescued from the cruel fate that is the dog meat trade is severely limited by considerations of housing, provisions and staff to care for the dogs while permanent homes are found. That's where The Barking Lot comes in; they partnered with SDF to bring dozens of the dogs they have rescued in Thailand to San Diego, California, where the dogs are housed, socialized, exercised, and provided with any health care and medical attention they may need.

With your help The Barking Lot will be able to fly 12 dogs a month to San Diego to find their forever and loving families. These dogs are in urgent need of your help!
