On this day dedicated to giving back, our goal is to provide 5 million meals to hungry dogs and cats in need.
One of the biggest expenses for shelters and rescue groups is feeding pets in their care. As the temperature drops this holiday season, shelters that are already overcrowded incur extra expenses. When disasters strike, the need for food becomes even more dire. That's why for Giving Tuesday, GreaterGood is hosting a food drive for animals! The money raised today will provide nutritious meals to shelters and rescues across the country.
Right now, freezing temps and hurricane recovery has shelters and rescues in desperate need of food. Your gift will help bring high-quality pet food to shelters and rescue groups nationwide providing nourishment to rescue pets who need it most. The best part? Animals that are healthy, happy, and well-fed stand a much better chance of being adopted.

One of the fortunate pets your gift helped save last year was a Boxer mix named Bayla. She weighed only 30 pounds when she was found abandoned behind a veterinarian's office in Illinois last December. Wearing a tattered, knotted leash around her neck, she was emaciated, had double ear infections, open puncture wounds and torn skin around her face, ears, neck, legs and back. Animal Rescue Foundation (A.R.F.) took Bayla in such a poor state. Thanks to the food donations received by A.R.F., Bayla received the quality diet that supported healthy weight gain and general good nutrition.
In February 2017, Bayla's now a happy, healthy, playful 55 pounds was adopted into a loving home in Wisconsin. She is enjoying life beside a lazy river with her loving family and her bff, a Great Dane. Give a gift this #GivingTuesday to provide 5 million meals to save more precious lives like Bayla's!
