Send a Girl to School in Haiti

In 2010, a catastrophic 7.0M earthquake hit Haiti, leaving over 3 million people wounded, homeless, and in need of help. Many children were left orphaned with no hope for the future. Out of the destruction, Institute Edeline was founded to help children in need in Haiti. Funded completely by donors like you, Institute Edeline gives children in Haiti a safe place to learn with access to clean water, nutritious food, and healthcare. This school now gives over 300 students a chance for a brighter future.

Cheri is one of the students who is getting a second chance thanks to donors like you. Cheri lost both of her parents in the 2010 earthquake and now lives with her aunt, uncle, and many cousins. She works hard every day, waking up at 5 am to finish her daily chores before walking to school. Because she didn't have access to education as a child, she had a late start to her primary school education and is the oldest girl in her 6th grade class. She loves learning new things and is always the last to leave the classroom, inspiring everyone around her. Because of generous donors like you, Cheri has previously been funded for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. She wants to continue her education and build a better future for herself, her family, and her community.

Institute Edeline is a K-6th-grade elementary school established to provide education to children in need with the intent of sending these children into healthy professions to restore economic hope and stability in the region.
