Catalyst Collections sells products handcrafted by women in conflict zones and distressed regions, creating an opportunity for them to achieve economic independence for themselves and their families. This is one artisan's story:

"My name is Nazhat Hadi. I am a wife and mother. Early in my marriage I faced traditions that discouraged women from employment outside the home. I was ready to give up on my dream until I realized my daughters would face the same destiny. So I decided to make changes that would benefit the whole family, and I enrolled in Prosperity Catalyst's program. Today I make beautiful candles to earn an income. My daughters have graduated from college, and my husband supports my entrepreneurial aspirations."
