Rescue is a complicated world. Each rescue has its own specific concentrations. What does NAFAF concentrate on and how do we work to effect positive change and transformation? We concentrate on five specific areas. •First, combatting the root problem through sterilization initiatives. •Second, feeding the hungry forced to the streets and scavenging for food. •Third, assisting areas in dire need of scabies medication and prevention, to foster health and wellness. •Fourth, providing emergency and dire need medical for NAFAF rescues as well as assisting rescuers abroad with these much needed funds and resources so more animals have a chance at life. •Last, making sure the ones that can get to us do, by building up our Freedom Travel Fund. We can’t keep the rescue wheels turning without transporting many animals to their forever homes, thus alleviating the burden on our rescue colleagues and providing space for more to be saved.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2021 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
