Texas Litter Control is a high quality, low cost veterinary clinic, adoption center, pet food bank, and shelter support program for companion animals. Our mission is to eliminate the suffering of companion pets in Texas by: Educating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering and proper pet healthcare; providing a low cost solution available to the general public for spay and neuter and basic wellness services; Providing extended pet healthcare to income and program qualified individuals; Providing adoption options for fully vetted pets to the public; Providing alternative solutions such as healthcare, food and other basic needs to pet owners considering surrendering a pet to a local shelter; Providing a networking and educational forum for animal welfare organizations to work together; Providing high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgery training for Veterinarians; and Mentoring other animal welfare groups to open clinics in other under serviced areas.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2021 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.

Every bit counts. Search for your local shelter or rescue below and make a direct donation to support them. The Animal Rescue Site is covering 100% of credit card transaction fees so 100% goes to help.

Beginning on Tuesday, August 31 at 12pm PT, Hill’s Pet Nutrition is again matching all donations dollar for dollar up to $25,000. All gifts will be doubled until the match runs out! Starting at noon PT on that day, a $25,000 total pool will be made available.
