Chicago Cat Rescue was founded in 2006 by a small group of willful women. Our mission was to share in the efforts to eliminate animal homelessness in our community. Chicago Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster based, licensed, nonprofit organization. For the past 16 years, we have been rescuing cats and kittens off our city's streets, as well as from kill facilities. All our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. Foster homes provide a wonderful alternative to shelter settings, in which we gain a wealth of information about our cats' personalities and temperaments. Armed with this information, we are better able to place our cats in suitable forever homes that meet their individual needs.
