Dakota Dachshund Rescue has brought in many medical needs dogs this year with very high medical bills. Obi Wan came in HW positive and needs to be treated for heartworm, Echo has pulmonary hypertension and a large shunt that needs to be closed, Pearl, Rajah and Luigi all have pulmonary valve stenosis that will need intervention with an interventional cardiologist, Nuggles had elongated soft palate along with stenotic nares, a mast cell tumor and post op complications which kept him in the EVH for four extra days, Pip had horrible teeth, a complicated spay because of many C sections and mammary tumors that had to be resected and sent in for pathology, the list of goes on and on and lots of spay/neuter, dentals with extractions, vaccinations, HW testing, presurgical bloodwork. Our little rescue is bursting at the seams and so many of the dogs need more than standard vet care.
