LRHS has been providing a safe and compassionate shelter for displaced cats and dogs since 1995. Our mission is to care for pets in need until they can be adopted, and to promote their health and welfare through community outreach and education. We hope you will join with us in lifting up our furry friends who have no where else to turn.

Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
