Lancaster SPCA is a nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to saving unwanted and discarded pets in the Lancaster County area. We take in the critically ill, abused, neglected, and injured animals that would have little or no chance of survival without our intervention. LSPCA ensures that each one receives the best possible veterinary care, then we focus on getting those animals temporarily fostered until adopted into a loving home or transported to a rescue partner. We support for the Lancaster County Animal Shelter by providing rescue for urgent and critical-need animals. We are funded through donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships to help cover the basic needs of the animals including food, kitten or puppy formula for bottle-babies, bedding, etc., and medical expenses such as veterinary exams and tests, vaccinations, wormer, spay/neuter, microchip, urgent care and, in some cases, surgery for the injured and very sick animals.
