Pet Network Humane Society is opening a community veterinary hospital to offer veterinary care to the communities around Lake Tahoe! Currently, there is a shortage of veterinarians and support staff across the country, and particularly in the Tahoe Basin. As a result of the veterinary shortage there is a significant backlog in veterinary services, including surgical procedures and dental care. Furthermore, most veterinary clinics in the Tahoe region are only open during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 9-5), which limits access for many people who work. At Pet Network, we have recognized the need for after-hours veterinary services and are in the process of opening a community hospital to fill this need.

Help your local shelter & pets in need.
Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site are joining NBC and Telemundo stations’ Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign to support shelters and rescues across the country by encouraging individuals to donate funds to help animal welfare groups with the most critical needs.
Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
