The Thompson River Animal Care Shelter is the only shelter helping homeless pets in the Sanders and Mineral counties of Montana. TRACS is a private and 100% no kill shelter that operates totally on donations and adoption fees. TRACS is helping 1200 + homeless pets per year and has been in operation for 16 successful years. We have an excellent reputation and hope to continue our mission for many more years.

Each summer, shelters and rescues face an added stress on their resources from increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to spring litters. In 2022 shelters are reporting higher than normal intake rates, with unprecedented overpopulation in some areas. They need you now.
