Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Center is New Mexico's largest no kill animal shelter located in Northern Rio Rancho. Since the inception of WMR in 1996 over 175,000 companion pets have been saved. The motto for the Ranch is "All Who Enter Here Will Find Love" this applies to not only the dogs/cats that enter our gates but also the humans. WMR focuses on fostering the animal/human bond through various programs such as: Humane Education, Adoption, Fostering, Volunteering and many more.
